• Performed material take-offs for a bankable feasibility study to provide the client a total cost installed of a phosphate plant including underground utilities, roadways, foundations, steel framed structures and concrete buildings. The feasibility study also included the preparation of preliminary architectural drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Performed field walkthroughs to evaluate whether changes were made to existing structures based on the most up-to-date structural steel drawings and annotate any changes.
• Utilized STAAD.Pro to create a model of an existing steel structure and analyzed it based on the addition of new equipment loads using the current ASCE, AISC and Florida Building Code requirements.
• Performed the design of a mat foundation using spMats based on the loads transferred from STAAD.Pro analysis, ACI 318-11 requirements and the geotechnical soil report for the site.
