• Designed an irradiation vehicle with integrated neutronics, thermal-hydraulics, and structural designs to accommodate PNNL’s experiment to evaluate the burnup limits of lithium aluminate pellets for tritium production in a thermal LWR neutron spectrum.
• Lead neutronics analysis utilizing codes such as MCNP, CASMO-4, and DRAGON
• Iterated between thermal-hydraulics and structural design in order to produce optimal vehicle
• Achieved PNNL’s goal of temperature distribution throughout the vehicle
