Member of Technical Support Services, Engineering Department, supporting the Royal Commission MYAS (infrastructure, city and industrial development) Projects. Supervision of a group of structural engineers towards coordination of Structural Engineering activities vis-à-vis all responding disciplines within the group and Royal Commission Functionaries. Technical specifications, SOW development, Concept and Program Development, provision of technical assistance in proposal development/evaluation, review of A/E contractors’ engineering/designs submittals, review of vendor shop drawings, construction material submittals, field inspections and provision of advice pertaining construction troubleshooting, structural forensic work, contractual interpretations, material takeoffs, setting terms for and review of geotechnical investigations, execution of actual engineering/design projects, technical correspondence and reports, QA/QC and safety issues; and mentoring Saudi national engineers in their academic/professional on the job training.

Highways - infrastructure facilities construction management. Have worked on major bridges, underpass and tunnel interchange undertakings. The works have comprised; 321 meters twin, triple box girder - post tensioned bridge; a pre-tensioned utility bridge; 600 meters plus tunnel based ramp, an underpass, associated other ramps and approaches; storm water drainage facilities including lift disposal systems, irrigation system to support beautification and associated electrical/telephone and other new utilities constructions/relocations and interfaces. Was periodically assigned to other projects of similar magnitude/complexity.
2000 – 2001 Principal Engineer & Construction Superintendent – Civil/Structural, Parsons International, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Member of (ADNOC Gas Division - Atheer) Project Management Team; worked on detailed engineering and construction management of 48” diameter 110 Km cross country Gas Pipeline project. The project included terminal control buildings/structures, and structures along the line, control facilities and infrastructure.
1997 – 1999 Principal (Lead) Civil/Structural Engineer, Saudi Arabian Parsons Ltd, Jubail Al-Sinaiyah, Saudi Arabia.
Field Engineering for Construction Management & Support: Development of design changes pertaining plants revamp & new designs; materials specifications & approvals, shop drawings approvals, construction troubleshooting, construction QA/QC. In brief, worked as an overall consultant (and supervised staff) on all aspects of civil/structural construction execution.
Worked on two Projects: Namely: 1) Aramco – Shaybah Oil/Gas Pipelines Downstream Projects at Abqaiq; and, 2) Sabic Kemya - Polyethylene Plant, major revamp to enhance the plant’s production capacity, at Jubail. The structures included; usual oil/gas support structures, electrical transmission pylons, switchgear/substation buildings, seawater intake structures, buildings/warehouses, pipeways, pipe bridges, multipurpose steel structures and utilities.

Development of design basis scope of work (RFP) including technical specifications; coordination, follow-up checking, QA/QC and construction support. Management of design projects carried out by outside A/E design contractors.
