Project Engineer, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems
Adelanto, CA — February 2008 to Present
Improved Gray Eagle Program
○ Served as lead Project Engineer through the design, fabrication, integration, and test of the first prototype
○ Led program to a successful first flight on July 26th, 2013
○ Set new company endurance record in October 2013
○ Managed design of the company’s first fuel pod
○ Currently coordinating several design and manufacturing teams in preparation for production of the new aircraft
Avenger Program
○ Led team responsible for the delivery of Avenger aircraft 3 to flight test facility
○ Coordinated across teams responsible for the design, lamination, assembly, structural testing, and integration of the airframe
Other contributions
○ Headed integration of load bank payload into NASA’s FIRE pod for in-flight testing of Block 5 Predator B Starter/Generator upgrade
○ Assisted in development of the Predator XP MTCR (Missile Control Technology Regime) strategy required to obtain export license from the U.S. Department of State
○ Performed analyses in support of selecting a replacement material system for the MQ-1C Gray Eagle composite structure
○ Led team investigating the use of business process modeling (BPM) software to monitor part status in a prototype build environment
Intern, Lockheed Martin Space Systems

Non-Destructive Inspection Group
○ Coordinated facility improvement projects including delivery and setup of new inspection equipment
○ Completed testing using the Airscan UT system to establish composite inspection standards for its use
○ Acquired hands-on experience in various NDI techniques including X-ray, Thermography, Magnetic Penetrant, C-Scan, and Non-Contact Air-Coupled Ultrasonic Inspection by working with certified technicians
○ Processed vendor issue resolution actions in support of various defense programs
Accomplishments
○ Participated in the X-ray inspection of cooling line welds on a SBIRS (Space Based Infrared System) satellite
○ Coordinated the successful delivery and setup of a new C-scan system to support the Trident program
○ Led team to document the process flow for the vendor issue resolution process
