PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

LOCKHEED MARTIN MISSILES AND FIRE CONTROL, Dallas, Texas 2000 - 2010

Software Engineer Sr. 2007 - 2010
Responsible for software design and development of the Operator Control Unit (OCU) CSCI for an unmanned vehicle project.
• Designed, developed, and maintained the Operator Control Unit (OCU) software controlling a semi-autonomous unmanned vehicle developed for the U.S. Army, receiving two Special Recognition Awards for this work. The software consisted of 25K+ lines of C++ developed using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 on Windows XP.
• Received a Special Recognition Award for developing software to interface with a multi-sensor hardware package in one-third the scheduled time, which reduced the impact on other tasks crucial to an upcoming deadline. The software was written in C++ using Visual Studio 2005 on Windows XP.

Software Engineer Sr. 2003 – 2007
Responsible for software design and development on numerous simulation and HRI projects for both internal and external customers.
• Designed and developed the OCU software for a visual simulation system used to assess varying scenarios involving multiple semi-autonomous unmanned vehicles. The system was successfully demonstrated at the corporate R&D center in Virginia for over fifty military and government VIPs, generating positive feedback from potential customers that led to an increase in internal funding the following year. Received a Special Recognition Award for this work. The software was written in C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.
• Designed and developed the visual, operator-control component of a real-time simulation system that provided various means of targeting enemy ground units with unmanned aerial munitions, giving the customer, the U.S. Air Force, a means of assessing the use of smart aerial munitions under different levels of autonomy. The software was written in C++ using Visual Studio 2003 and Falconview.

Software Engineer Sr. 2000 - 2003
Responsible for Software Trouble Report resolution on a legacy simulation program.
• Analyzed and resolved over 80 STRs written against a large vehicle simulation program, improving performance within one year from very poor to capable of supporting a two-week interface design interchange with a group of U.S. Marines. The software was written in C++ for a Silicon Graphics environment.
