Redesigned an induction hardening bowl to eliminate hot spots that contributed to premature failures. Evaluated material of construction for same bowl to improve bowl life. Changed material from 304 stainless steel to inconel 625 and extended bowl life from 4 weeks to 6 months; this is equivalent to 150% improvement.
Led aluminum machining tooling trials to improve finished product and extend tool life to reduce tooling cost per unit.
Modified robotic part loading process to reduce cycle times by 25% to meet plant production cycle time reduction requirements.
