ACADEMIC DESIGN PROJECTS
Senior Design Project: Member of 3 person team to design and test the surgical procedure subtalar fusion
using 3D digital image correlation to improve recovery time for patients.
Specialized in aluminum casting and Octave computer programming while gaining
skills in organization and time management.
Aircraft Design: Team of 4 students to preliminary design a small business jet that would meet
FAR 23 requirements while specializing in aircraft performance and engine
selection. Final aircraft was optimized for trans-Atlantic range while maintaining
fuel efficiency and a luxurious interior.
Machine Design: Developed leadership and teamwork skills while designing an optimal 4-speed
transmission in ROMAX and running various test including stress, strain and
overall displacement. Optimized transmission exceeded 1000 hour run time
requirement and final results were presented to improve communication and
technical writing skills.
