EXPERIENCE
Graduate Research Assistant 2010 — Present
Designed and constructed pressure cells with and without optical access and transport rods for a commercial Quantum Design SQUID magnetometer
Characterized the magnetic properties of over 100+ samples including soft tissues such as rat brain, alloys with target for medical purposes and inorganic materials
Collaborated in the interdisciplinary study to design and construct an electrode for probing brain activity through MRI
Coauthor of 9 peer-reviewed articles and 10 presentations including 5 international conferences
Managed the financial administrative duties of my lab which included identifying and purchasing required materials and instrumentation and registration for various conferences
Supervised and mentored 4 junior students
Teaching Assistant 2009 – Present
Taught the experimental and discussion sessions for Physics for non-science and engineering majors
Undergraduate Research Assistant 2007 — 2008
Designed an experiment to test distortion parameters from gravitational lensing in simulated galaxies
Worked in conjunction with a team from SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center) to test gravitational lensing in images from the Hubble Space telescope
