University of Minnesota, Twin Cities
Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering & Mechanics Minor in Astrophysics
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
United Technologies Corporation, UTC Aerospace Systems Design Engineering Intern, Sensors & Integrated Systems
May 2013-May 2014
• Supported GIDC Engine-Temperature COE Technology Transfer initiative with U.S. export compliance
relating to Technical Data in Teamcenter PLM.
• Performed continuation engineering for Pratt & Whitney, GE, Rolls-Royce and Hamilton Sundstrand speed,
torque, oil level and temperature sensors while assisting US and India design engineers on current projects and activities such as Pro-E modeling, creating engineering drawings, writing rest procedures and reports, performing tests and preparing presentations.
• Identified the minimum number of dependencies in Pro/ENGINEER and Teamcenter that required export classification to enable visibility of an item in Teamcenter to UTAS NON U.S employees;; Improved Turn Around Time for such requests from approximately 14 days to 6 days.
• Collaborated with Configuration Management, International Trade Office, Information Technology, Minnesota and India Engineering teams to coordinate an effort to expedite and automate the export classification process;; Spearheaded development of an automation process which was approved and used as a standard within Sensors & Integrated Systems (SIS-MN) and significantly reduced Turn Around Time, removed burden on design engineers and reduced number of people required for requests/tasks to 1.
• Computed Average Heater Power Output, Median Voltage and Standard Deviation for aircraft probes in an effort to reduce Quality Notification(s).
• Identified primary causes/modes of failure for a certain model of aircraft probes;; composed Thermal Test Imaging Document, Authorized Signatory List (ASL), Calibration Data Sheets and Inspection Procedures.
