Anaerobic Digestion Thesis Project (Feb 2013 - Aug. 2014)
As the graduate student researcher for my thesis project, I did the following:
- Researched the utilization of two-phase anaerobic digestion for biodegrading waste and producing cleaner-burning biogas
- Designed, built, and operated laboratory-scale anaerobic digesters
- Managed and trained 40 student assistants in water quality and gas chromatography testing
- Co-authored a final report for the CA Energy Commission that will be published
Central Coast Water Board (June 2012 - Feb. 2013)
I was a student engineering assistant in the Board's stormwater program. My tasks included:
• Reviewing all CEQA documents, summarizing and storing them on a database, and directing them to appropriate staff
• Anayzing and preparing written and oral responses to requests and inquiries
• Assisting staff with 401 Certification Program, including reviewing applications and drafting 401 Certifications
