Engineering Intern Cosmos Technologies 2015
Assisting in getting a successfully patented water treatment process into the marketplace. This technology is an effective treatment for the wastewater created by fracking as well as other industrial process.
Maternity Leave (2011 - 2015)
Projects University of Pittsburgh 2009- 2011
• Graduate Research (2009-2011). Evaluated environmental, social and economic impact of the end of life biopolymers being introduced to the marketplace in developed and developing countries. Designed and conducted an experiment to determine impact of various signage on consumer behavior.
• Service Research and Learning (2009 – 2010). Worked with GTECH (a local nonprofit) to enhance research at UPitt through increased accessibility of data collection and to increase functionality of community outreach. Designed, built and managed the logistics of an indoor greenhouse, contained over 4 tons of soil.
• Campus Battery Recycling (2010). Wrote and received an MCSI Student Community Grant to make electrical waste & battery recycling on the UPitt’s campus widely known & available. Designed informational signs & worked closely with campus facility management to place signs and recycling collection containers throughout campus.
Associate Engineer National Grid 2008 - 2009
• Evaluated the need to replace transmission structures in Northeastern U.S. through on-site visual inspection and structural analysis.
• Initiated replaced of structures by acquiring appropriate funding, working with Project Manager to schedule outage into PrimaVera, and ensuring that all materials would be available on time.
• Structure replacement was concluded in engineering through the completion of a field issue, which contained: an image of the structure to be replaced, date of scheduled replacement, map locating the structure and the best access route, line map, structural drawing of current structure, structural drawing of replacement structure, and bill of materials.
