Member of Vermont Tech team competing in the Intel-Cornell Cup
The Intel-Cornell Cup was a national competition sponsored by Intel and Cornell that was intended to showcase the new Intel Atom processors. VTC was chosen as one of 11 finalist teams in the country. Our design proposal was centered around combating excessive drunkenness on college campuses. The task we set out to complete was to build a robotic bartender that could pour several different alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The robot would take in the users weight and gender, and based on that and the alcohol content in the drinks estimate that person's BAC and shut them off when it got to high. It would then present them with non-alcoholic drinks to choose from.
