programs and permitting, Calibrations/Metrology Program, Preventive

* Responsible for operation of Utilities such as HVAC system, chilled water
system, compressed air system, heat exchange systems, clean rooms
controls, four types of water systems, Argon and Nitrogen supply systems,
and wastewater discharge systems, among others.
* Lead transformation of a reactive maintenance culture into a preventive
maintenance culture by creating systems and teams to identify root causes
and implement non-people dependent systems to conduct preventive
activities.
* Led $3MM energy project on a new chilled water plant with annual savings
of $1MM. Project also allowed to significantly reduce downtime
associated to Utilities and provide capacity for manufacturing capacity
growth without need for additional capital investments.
* Conduct semi-annual maintenance shutdowns to assure continuous operation
of manufacturing facility with no or limited interruptions.
* Manage recommendations of insurer FM Global to protect all assets and
operations from unexpected events such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and
others.

* Restructured a department of approximately 40 people to provide support
to manufacturing operations 24/7 and minimize any interruptions to the
processes.
* Led design-build project including the design, construction, and
validation of a new ISO 8/7 cleanroom complex of over 13,000ft2 at a cost
of $8MM. Project included managing over 15 contractors in an 18 month
period and was successfully completed on time.
* Implemented several Energy conservation projects (e.g. chilled water,
solar energy) which accounted for over $2MM in annual savings
* Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Facilities / Utilities areas during FDA
inspections.
* Developed metrics to measure effectiveness of department’s performance
including Machine Uptime, EHS performance, On-Time Delivery, and others.
* Managed several projects in different phases at the same time including
construction of new document center ($500K), new chilled water plant
($3MM), new clean rooms ($8MM), oil reclaim area expansion ($600K), and
