Fire Door Modifications – Project Manager
• Managed project in the modification of fire doors to meet safety specifications.
• Worked with EH&S personnel, vendors and contractors in the development and implementation of the modifications.
• Developed cost estimates and a budget plan for future modifications around plant.
Implementation of Steam Ring Heater
• Communicated with controls engineers on how to program devices into DeltaV by writing a control narrative that included interlocks, startup/shut down procedures, and control loops.
• Worked with contractors on the design of piping and device placement in the field.
• Created equipment documentation and worked with maintenance personnel to put new equipment and devices into system.
• Performed test run on system with process engineers and operator personnel as well as created operations document for operators to reference while running the system.
Ethanol Ion Exchange Vessel Modifications
• Updated P&IDs in AutoCAD, Standard Operating Procedures, Energy Isolation Procedures, and Maintenance Documentation to reflect changes being made and new equipment being installed.
• Increased vessel productivity 25% by modifying vessels from series to parallel, saving around $10,000 per year.
Active Mixer Trial Experiments
• Coordinated with project engineers, facility personnel, contractors, and laboratory technicians in the design and construction of a small scale trial system.
