8/2012 to 2/2014 Beijing Si Fang Automation Co, LTD., one of four largest companies in the field of power automatic-protection equipment in China
FPGA Development Engineer Leader
• 40% FPGA resource reduction for the 8-Ethernet ports serial management compared with parallel management on FPGA, for the hardware platform of power automatic-protection equipment, the main function of MAC layer of Ethernet implemented on FPGA, such as uplink and downlink data buffer and management, parts of pack and unpack for Ethernet packets, extracting and inserting some key words, data filter, and so on.
• Improve the efficiency of the interface between DSP and FPGA dramatically for huge data exchange by designing a new transmission protocol between them
• Zynq-7010 evaluation: was responsible for Zynq-7010 performance testing with Xilinx Targeted Design Platforms in order to develop the next generation hardware platform
With these projects, our products won the competition organized by State Grid Corp. of China, contributing to many customer orders.

• Design and implementation of the core algorithm in an FPGA-based RRU system, which is widely used by many communications companies, e.g. China Mobile. I designed different types of digital filters based on FPGA taking into account the FPGA resource and system index for the up-converter and down-converter. I also designed and implemented the IR protocol on FPGAs, which is a data transmission protocol based on optical fiber like CPRI (spec provided by China Mobile for TD-SCDMA)

• Digital Pre-Distortion: Design and implementation of a DPD algorithm that was applied to our GSM products, which led to a hardware cost reduction of more than 50%, an industry leading achievement
• Crest Factor Reduction (CFR): Led a team of 6 engineers to design and implement the CFR algorithm to reduce the system’s Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR)
• Digital transmission: Focused on the design and implementation of Common Public Radio Interface (CPRI) protocol on FPGA, and standardized the code into a reusable library for other products
