During the three month installation and startup period of a new $10 million UV screen printing machine, I was responsible for the initial testing of products from this line, development of the quality control standards for all future products coming from this machine, as well as developing a method of creating polyurethane tooling in-house, which will save the company up to $50,000 over the next 5 years.
Worked as part of a team on the research and development of the pulverization of organic substrates onto nonporous media, for use in future new product development.
Developed lab standards and SOPs to be used as training tools for new operators and technicians.

As part of my engineering curriculum, I was on teams of 3-7 students researching semester-long projects under the supervision of a professor. Projects included research on platinum catalyzed microcombustion, the induction heating of magnetic biomaterials, research and experimentation on superhydrophobic surfaces, development of an electrospinning device for microfibers, design and analysis of a THF manufacturing plant, and development and testing of an electrospun fibrin scaffold to grow cardiac cells.
