Responsibilities: Sr. Reliability Engineer for Dril-Quip Oil and Gas Subsea Control and Wellhead Systems. Review drawings and test procedures for day to day assembly and test operations of Subsea control modules. Perform Failure Analysis investigations on failed parts and determine root cause and corrective action. Maintain Failure Analysis and Corrective action data base for mechanical/hydraulic and electrical subsea control module hardware. Manage and review 3rd party reliability studies including Fault Tree analysis, and Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA). Review, approve and witness component qualification and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs). Perform Component Mean Time between Failure (MTBF) calculations. Manage and review Functional Design Specifications and Reliability studies to determine system specifications and Safety SIL ratings. Support/lead customer TRC/TRL, TRAPs and HAZID reviews and develop associated project reliability plans. Establish, Maintain and follow up corrective action for projects subsea lessons learned activities. Well traveled in Europe including Netherlands, UK, Norway, France and Germany supporting project meetings, design reviews, project closeout reviews (FPALs), qualification and FAT test witnessing etc. Establish HALT/HASS component test and qualification requirements. Lead ISO auditor for Dril-Quip subsea suppliers. Support controls project manager with day to day subsea activities including; scheduling, hiring interviews, performance reviews, support high level customer reviews and presentations, sales activities, manage supplier activity, POs, travel, post project reviews, tender process etc. Major customer projects included BP 15/ksi/20ksi wellhead development/delivery, TOTAL North Sea JURA, FORVIE and ISLAY controls system development and installation, Mariner GOM controls development/installation and other projects.

Responsible for recording and disposition of FMTV Test Incident Reports (TIRs), root cause analysis and follow-up corrective action. Maintain Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACA). Report results and make presentations to Tank Armament Command (TACOM).

Responsibilities: Lead Systems Safety/Reliability Engineer, National Aeronautical Space Administration (NASA) Space Shuttle Vehicle. Areas of responsibility included Orbiter Maneuvering Systems/Reaction Control Systems (OMS/RCS), Hydraulics, Water Spray Boilers, Landing/Deceleration Systems, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and applicable Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Responsible for supporting design reviews, problem resolution teams (PRTs) and maintenance of Orbiter Hazard Reports and Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA/CILs). SR&QA review of engineering, procedures, vendor procedures, and qualification and acceptance testing of Orbiter Hardware. Maintain Failure Reporting and Corrective Action (FRACAS) database. Risk analysis and flight worthiness presentations for these systems to various NASA Review Boards and Safety Panels. Instrumental in Return –to-Flight hardware recertification activities post Columbia accident.
