WORK EXPERIENCE
Product Design Engineer
Michelin PRIME – Piedmont, SC Jan 2015 – Present
* Manage the current production evolution, in a team environment, to achieve industrial performance targets, while adhering to the central model. A 17% production increase was seen within the first year.
* Monitor and evaluate statistical indicators, for both industrialization and development builds, to ensure architectural integrity and overall tire performance and quality.
* Introduce new tire models into production, and supported regular production re-starts keeping the plant scrap at a level satisfactory to the central group.
* Act as a plant liaison to central technical groups on issues related to the uncured and cured tire model for OE and Replacement tire-lines, allowing for products to be delivered to the customer right the first time.
Project Engineer
Atlanta Arms – Covington, GA Jan 2014 – Dec 2014
* Design and organization of new 20,000 sq. ft. Production facility that will initially expand company production by 25% with a 3 year end goal of 50%.
* Oversee and manage, from start to finish, production of government contracts and high priority projects critical to the financial health of the company.
* Management of shop operations consisting of 30+ employees with an increase in monthly production by approximately 15% in the first 3 months. Average current production is around 175k units per day or 3.1 million per month.
* Implementation of standard procedure and safety manuals to aid in employee training and company structure.
* Management of vendor relations and component orders crucial to the efficiency of the company.
Collegiate Shooting Sports Instructor
