Data Collection and Analyses
• Automated Data Collection of sensor readings to include voltage and power consumption using LabView Data Acquisition software.
• Analyzed recorded energy consumption data using Microsoft Excel. Tools such as graphs, charts, pivot tables and macros were used extensively.
• Built reports and reporting tools detailing consumption and performance trends that helped management identify excessive consumption patterns that eventually lead to resource and money savings.
• Incorporated metering hardware Automated/Advanced Meter readings for outdoor and indoor conditions.
HVAC
• Implemented Time of Day Schedule on the system to minimize energy consumption while maintaining maximum comfortability levels.
• Established and maintained Set Points based on ASHRAE standards of performance.
• Integrated Energy control System for effective cooling and airflow into a military shelter.
• Developed a prototype Direct Digital Control unit and analyzed its performance impact on an HVAC system.
Electrical
• Developed a microcontroller based control system for a DOD contract the successfully demonstrated the effectiveness of peak load shaving on a military ECU.
• Incorporated I2C communication in microcontroller design, addressing the time-based (real time clock) nature of the system.
• Enhanced user interface of microcontroller based system by adding LCD display, buttons for time adjustment, and switches for user safety.
• Designed the power supply circuit for a microcontroller based system. This circuit successfully integrated into a military ECU and microcontroller system. Power was derived from the ECU.

• Performed automated data analysis, statistical analysis, and cost analysis using Microsoft Excel. The outcome was a validation of the proof of concept for an energy efficient HVAC system.
• Discovered experimental results that extinguished the company’s pursuit of a concept for a project proposal.
• Utilized & Created AutoCad diagrams & Schematics for electrical systems used in DOD projects.
